Application of oil and gas lubrication in non-ferrous metal industry
release date:2014-10-27        Views:3        Back to list
In the non-ferrous metal industry, the bearing seats of the work rolls, intermediate rolls and back-up rolls of various rolling mills have large loads. In the past, oil mist lubrication was used for lubrication in these parts. With the development of rolling mills, oil mist lubrication is increasingly unable to meet lubrication requirements.
As the current rolling speed is getting higher and higher, the requirements for bearing lubrication are also getting higher and higher. Oil mist lubrication is gradually showing its incompatibility for high-speed bearing lubrication. , Because the positive pressure in the bearing cavity is too small, it is not enough to prevent the process rolling oil from invading the bearing seat and damaging the bearing. , with the continuous improvement of product surface requirements, a large number of mist oil particles generated by oil mist lubrication continue to contaminate products and are increasingly unacceptable to users. , In addition, when using oil mist lubrication, a large part of the oil consumed becomes extremely tiny mist-like oil particles that are harmful to the human body and enters the surrounding air, becoming an invisible killer of health. Due to the above reasons, oil mist lubrication cannot meet the needs of technological development, so oil and gas lubrication technology has been rapidly promoted and applied in the non-ferrous metal industry. According to common sense in the past, it seems that the very small amount of oil supplied by oil and gas lubrication is not enough to achieve good lubrication, but the facts of oil and gas lubrication prove that this worry is unnecessary. According to the relationship between the oil supply volume, bearing temperature and friction of oil and gas lubrication, the oil supply volume, bearing temperature and friction are not directly proportional. When the oil supply volume increases to a certain extent, the main bearing temperature shows a downward trend. In the middle of this temperature curve, the temperature value is the highest, so the oil supply at this time is not enough to reduce the bearing temperature. Instead, heat is generated due to excess fluid friction. As the oil supply increases, the bearing friction also increases, and the lowest point of the two curves happens to be when the oil supply is minimum, which is also the best area for oil and gas lubrication.
